A Future-ready Bathroom and Wardrobe

For this Ellerslie home, BoxMakers were in charge of designing the bathrooms, wardrobes, and kitchen. As part of a series of new developments, the team focused on championing modernity and consistency. Our aim was to set new standards for feature-sets and quality in the neighbourhood.

Our work on the bathrooms aimed to bring all the premium features of a modern home while also aging gracefully into the future. For the main bathroom, we featured an extended vanity cabinet that housed a dual sink/faucet arrangement for simultaneous use. Above it, a triple-panel set of mirrors provides comprehensive room for reflection. The vanity benchtop is finished in streaked white stone, underneath Caroma’s minimalist Liano II faucets and handles which are done in gunmetal grey. We chose Häfele for the vanity’s drawer system for their reliability and smoothness of operation.

The combination of modern elements evokes the feel of a high-end hotel bathroom. A convenient heated towel rack sits beside the vanity. Opposite it, the shower is adorned with modern fixtures mirroring the gunmetal faucets. Tiles of warm, streaked beige adorn the walls and floors, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.

The walk-in wardrobe sports a grand assortment of racks, shelves, and drawers, complete with strips of LED lighting above the clothing rods. The wardrobe features a semi-symmetrical design, with diverse options for storage on either side. The variety of shapes and sizes that the boxes and cubbies come in ensure that there is a space for every last article of clothing. At the end of the wardrobe, a backlit mirror is present for instant outfit checks at any time.

From the floating design of bathroom vanities to the ever-present lighting across bathroom and wardrobes, BoxMakers have carefully designed each location with practicality and aesthetics in mind. In achieving a fluent meld of both form and function, BoxMakers have proactively poured our experience into making the best of each space.
